| Science Olympiad |
|
After months of hard work and effort by students and coaches alike, Harmony’s Science Olympiad team traveled to Galveston on February 20th to compete in the regional competition held at Texas A&M.
The team competed in many events, ranging from bridge-building to ornithology to experimental design. Everyone did a great job, and the bridge-builders won first place, taking home a gold medal for the team. The experience was great, and we can’t wait to start training for next year!

| Science Fair and Grand Opening |

Harmony School of Excellence hosted its 1st Annual Science Fair on Saturday, January 23rd, 2010. Families and friends filled the cafeteria to show support for the many students who put forth great effort to make this year’s fair a success. The categories of competition were Physical Science, Life Science and Engineering/Math.
In each category, five middle school students and five elementary school students were awarded trophies by a panel of judges, who spent the morning reviewing and discussing the projects. We are proud of everyone who participated and we are so grateful to the families and friends who came to support our students’ great work. Congratulations!
